Jakurski Professor of Business Administration, Harvard Business School Morgan Stanley Distinguished Lectures in FinanceIn 2007 Masters in Finance at NES launched an annual series of Morgan Stanley Distinguished Lectures in Finance. These lectures are given by leading finance professors for the Russian business community and are open to general public. The first lecture was taught by Professor Kenneth A. Froot of Harvard Business School "The Intermediation of Financial Risks: Lessons from the Catastrophe Reinsurance Market" on June 15, 2007. Besides the lecture, his Moscow schedule included meetings with NES students and faculty. In 2008 NES hosted the second lecture titled "The New Financial Order and The Current Financial Crisis" delivered by Professor Robert J. Shiller, Yale University, the author of bestsellers Irrational Exuberance and New Financial Order. The lecture was held at the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICEX) on March 14, 2008. In 2009 NES invited Raghuram G. Rajan, Eric J. Gleacher Distinguished Service Professor of Finance, The University of Chicago Booth School of Business to give a third lecture. The lecture titled "The Credit Crisis: Causes and Consequences" was held on February 5, 2009. For more details please see the News section and lecture flyer. On September 3, 2009 NES held the Fourth Annual Morgan Stanley Distinguished Lecture in Finance. The lecture titled "The Global Financial Stability and Long Run Risks" was delivered by the 2003 Nobel Prize Winner in Economics Robert Engle, Professor of Finance, The New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
